Thurs - Sun: 5:00pm - 9:30pm
MAIN OFFICE / CS HOURS
Mon-Fri: 10am-3pm
(Walk ins are welcomed but sometimes we book up in advance, strongly recommend booking online)
WALK INS: We accept walk-in during Throwing Hours, based on availability. Come on by or call ahead during Throwing Hours: 858-800-1076.
OFF HOURS: We can usually accommodate Off Hour events with advance notice. Please contact the Main Office for info about setting up an Off Hour session or event!
The cost for axe throwing is $29.95/per person for 1 hour session. (Your reservation includes a safety briefing)
You will pay in full when you book online.
-We operate with single lanes (one lane/one target) and put a max of 3 people per lane.
-If you party is making separate bookings, please note the name of the main booking where it asks “are you throwing with another party” so we know your group is together.
-If you have a larger party and do not see the amount of spaces available online, please contact the office so we can help with arrangements.
Yes! An axe throwing party is a great way to have fun with friends/family/coworkers!
Private Party/Group: If you want to have a private party space, you can reserve "The Great Hall" which comes with 3 lanes, lounge seating and table space. To reserve, please contact during Office Hours for availability and pricing. (You may be able to upgrade on site at check in but it will be subject to availability)
Non-Private Larger Group: If you are not looking for a private space but have a larger party, simply find a time slot that has enough spots left and make your bookings. At check in, we will do our best to assign your group lanes that are next to each other.
Off-Hour Events: We can also accommodate large/private events during the off-hours should you need a specific time and date when we are normally closed. Please contact us for availability and pricing.
In order to guarantee your group is assigned to the same lane/side by side lanes, please select one person to make the booking and be charged the full amount when booking online. If you wish to book/pay individually, be sure to all select the same time slot and we will do our best to keep you together when you arrive and are assigned to lanes.
Your 1 hour session begins at the time that you have reserved. We ask that you arrive 10 minutes ahead of time to get checked-in and assigned to your lane. If you arrive late, you will still need to go through the check-in process and safety briefing and then you will have the remainder of your time slot for throwing. Your session will need to end promptly when your reserved time slot is up, we cannot extend your lane time due to being late.
Unfortunately, children under the age of 12 (including babies/toddlers) are not allowed in our Axe Throwing venue.
Participants must be at least 12 years of age. Minors 12-17 must have at least one adult per group present at all times. Please keep in mind, axe throwing requires good coordination and concentration skills to be successful and handling the axes safely is a must.
Minors 12-17 will need to have an adult complete/sign their waiver.
Parking is available in the parking lot as well as on the street, both are free!
Unfortunately we are located on the second floor and the building does not have an elevator. There is one flight of stairs to enter and exit.
Closed-Toe Shoes are REQUIRED
Please DO NOT bring your own throwing devices or weapons. We provide the Axes & Tomahawks. If you have your own Axe or Tomahawk, you may be able to throw it with approval from the Axe Coach. (no handles over 22")
Only people with paid reservations are allowed in the space. Space is limited and we want to keep everyone safe.

AXE THROWING BASICS
LEARN TO THROW KNIVES, TOMAHAWKS, AXES at Dragon Dagger Academy! Small group classes will be held on select Tuesday evenings, spots are limited so be sure to enroll early! Please see the "Dragon Dagger Academy" page for more details or to enroll.
Yes! The Axe Coach will teach you a few throwing skills, give you game ideas, and go over the safety instructions.
Your session will start with a brief safety and skill intro and then you will be on your own to have fun throwing for the rest of the hour. The Axe Coach will be available for assistance should you need it.
Closed toe shoes are REQUIRED. We also do not recommend clothing that will restrict your arms while throwing. If booking during warmer weather, be sure to wear cooler clothing.
While we do not serve food or drink, you are more than welcome to bring in your own to enjoy while you throw! If you reserve The Great Hall, there is plenty of table space to setup food or bring in catering.
For safety precautions, if our staff deems that you appear under the influence or of disorderly conduct, you will not be allowed to participate and/or will be removed from the premises without refund.
As long as you follow the safety instructions and rules, axe throwing is a safe activity!
You will need to sign a waiver before throwing an axe. You will be briefed on the axe throwing safety protocols when you arrive. You are required to wear closed toe shoes to throw axes with us.
If you have your own Axe or Tomahawk, you may be able to throw it with approval from the Axe Coach. (no handles over 22"). If they have any safety concerns, you will need to throw what we provide.
YES! You can ask your Axe Coach for suggestions and/or you are more than welcomed to research more games ahead of time!

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICIES
You can Cancel or Reschedule up to 6 hours before your reserved time. If you are making this change outside of office hours, you will need to make these changes yourself through the "View/Change Booking" link found in your confirmation email.
We unfortunately do not offer refunds or reschedules if you are cancelling or rescheduling within 6 hours of your reservation or are a no-show.
Special Off Hour Events: The cancellation/refund policy differs if you have booked a special event during the off hours. Please refer to the confirmation email you received from the office for policy terms & conditions.
If you cancel in accordance with policy, you will be able to receive a refund.
To Cancel: You must cancel your booking through the link in your confirmation email no later than 6 hours before your reserved time.
To Change/Reschedule: You must make any changes through the link in your confirmation email no later than 6 hours before your reserved time.
Please note: These actions must be done through your confirmation email. Leaving a message or email does not qualify as making your change.
*Once you are within 6 hours of your reserved time, you cannot make any changes. No refunds will be given for cancellations/changes within 6 hours of session, no-shows, traffic delays, weather, etc.
Special Off Hour Events: The cancellation/refund policy differs if you have booked a special event during the off hours. Please refer to the confirmation email you received from the office for policy terms & conditions.
We HIGHLY RECOMMEND arriving 10 minutes early to get checked in and be ready to start promptly at your reserved time.
Your session will begin with a brief safety and technique demo. The Axe Coach will wait for all group members to arrive before starting the safety briefing at their assigned lane.
If you arrive late, you will still need to get checked in and receive safety briefing and you will have less time to throw axes.
No refunds, reschedules, or time extensions will be allowed for participants who are a no-show or arrive late and have less time for throwing.
WAIVERS
Yes, each participant will need to sign our release waiver form before they can begin their session. This release covers any potential accidents that may occur and gives Axe Throw San Diego all rights to use any pictures or video of attendees captured while at our facility.
MINORS ages 12-17 will need to have an adult/parent/guardian complete and sign their waiver. Minors that do not have a waiver completed online in advance will need to have the accompanying adult sign it at check in.
